Harbor Counseling is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and client-focused Office Manager to join our growing mental health practice. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients while also managing essential administrative and operational functions that support the success of our providers and practice. Answer phones and emails
Manage client intake and scheduling
Verify insurance benefits
Check clients in and out of appointments
Collect copays and process payments
Manage client billing and account balances
Submit and reconcile insurance claims
Assist with provider credentialing
Maintain client records and office documentation
Coordinate client communications regarding appointments and insurance matters
Manage office supplies, equipment, and general office operations
Maintain website and social media content
Collaborate with providers and outside healthcare offices
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications:
Office manager experience in a healthcare related field preferred
Experience in utilizing electronic medical records preferred
Experience in insurance and billing preferred
Familiar with HIPAA regulations preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
Professional, dependable, and punctual
Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
Passion for supporting mental health services
Additional Details:
This position is full time (Monday-Thursday 8:45am-5pm)
Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm
Hourly pay with regular evaluations and opportunities for pay increases
No healthcare benefits provided
This position is in-office only (no teleworking)
