​Contract Position for Clinical Psychotherapy

Full or Part-Time
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Harbor Counseling is looking for a full or part-time LCMHC, LMFT, or LCSW (or Associate) to join our dynamic, fun, and collaborative team. We are seeking a contracted role as a clinical therapist who will provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy. At Harbor Counseling, our goal is to provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families from diverse backgrounds and varying socio-economic contexts. We believe in providing our community with a warm and welcoming setting to navigate the challenges of life, serving our clients with care and compassion.
Requirements:
  • Aligned with Harbor Counseling’s vision, mission and values
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field
  • Able to pass criminal background check
  • Active full or associate professional licensure in the state of North Carolina
  • Must hold liability/malpractice insurance
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
  • Provide biopsychosocial evaluations/problem identification, crisis interventions, and individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients
  • Evening/weekend availability is a plus!
Additional Skills:
  • Be able to work independently and autonomously
  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, disordered eating, etc)
  • Proficiency in methods of psychotherapy
  • Familiarity with available community resources
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
