Kids First Inc of Elizabeth City

At Harbor Counseling, we believe that strong communities are built when families have access to supportive and compassionate resources. This month, we are highlighting Kids First Inc. of Elizabeth City, a Child Advocacy Center dedicated to helping children and families navigate some of life’s most challenging situations.

Kids First serves children throughout northeastern North Carolina who have experienced abuse or neglect. Their goal is to reduce trauma and provide a safe, child-focused environment where children can share their experiences and begin the healing process.

Through a coordinated team approach, Kids First offers services such as forensic interviews, advocacy, therapy referrals, and support for non-offending caregivers. Their efforts help ensure that children feel heard, protected, and supported while guiding families toward the resources they need.

Organizations like Kids First play an essential role in protecting children and supporting families in our community. We are grateful for the work they do every day to provide safety, care, and hope.
