I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, individuals and families. I received my Master's degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State University in 2012 and obtained licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts in 2014, as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama in 2015, and as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina in 2018.
I have specialized training in working with service members, Veterans, and their families. My therapeutic passion is working with individuals to lift the barriers of  depression, anxiety, stress and trauma that are blocking the path to the life they desire.
I hold the counseling relationship in the highest regard. With deep empathy, acceptance and respect I am honored to walk with you in the course of your journey to becoming the best version of yourself.

Amber Stone-Aguirre, MS, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families. I received my Master’s degree with Honors specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and obtained my licensure as Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina. I provide Telehealth services to individuals who reside in North Carolina.

My therapeutic passion is working with individuals, couples, parents and families. I provide counseling to those who may have difficulty navigating relational issues, life transitions and mental health concerns. I work with professionals, law enforcement, teachers, nurses, business owners, stay at home moms, factory workers, food industry employees, real estate agents, caregivers, retired couples, just married couples, and how long have we been together-couples. Regardless of what title, relationship status, birth month, android or apple phone preference, I am here to support you through your journey. I recognize and acknowledge each individual experience and understand the complexity of an individual’s world view, while holding confidentiality to the highest standard.

Elizabeth Thomas, MA, LCMHC, RPT



​I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist from the Association for Play Therapy. I have experience providing individual and group counseling for children, adults, and adolescents. I received my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. At present, I have 13 years of experience.

My therapeutic passion is working with children through play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I hold the therapeutic process in high regard. I am eager to start this journey.

Micaiah Gilkes, MA, LCMHCA

​I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with experience in working with individuals, adolescents, and children. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2021. Prior to this experience, I completed my Bachelor's degree at Mid-Atlantic Christian University here in Elizabeth City.

My therapeutic passion is working with individuals 8 years and older. I enjoy working with clients to understand their world and the concerns they have when attending sessions. I emphasize the importance of responsibility and choice, which helps enhance relationships, work, and other aspects of life. I am here to support you whether it is working through grief, boundary setting, anxiety/depression, or any other stressors from life.
